The exhibition was titled [ainda] \u2013 Memories of Mothers and Zika in Brazil, and hosted at Sagori, the feminist center in Hiroshima. Similar exhibitions were organized in Brazil earlier this year, and resulted in renewed national attention to the lives of children with microcephaly and their families a decade after the outbreak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Debora Diniz, a Brazilian anthropologist and the author of <em>Zika: From the Brazilian Backlands to Global Threat<\/em> (Zed Books, 2017), delivered a lecture on August 1 at Eikei University in Hiroshima. The audience included Naomasa Hirao, who is the executive director of Kinoko-kai, the association of people with atomic bomb-induced microcephaly.
